10,000 Km+ Over the arctic ... Air Canada Flight 001 ... 13 hours non-stop from Toronto ...
This is over our great Canadian North somewhere ... 2 hours into the flight ...

We just arrived in Tokyo, first let's get some Yens :) Alot of CASH ONLY signs around us :)

I just love the vending machines ... Prices are surprisingly cheap !! About 1$US for a drink ...

This is a non-smoking telephone :) Weird Colors ... The Yellow pages are under the phone free to be taken away ... In the US or even Canada they would be used as Fire starter by now :)

Waiting for the Narita Express towards Tokyo Station. Genevieve is resting on the ground, 30 seconds after this picture was taken, we were told to go sit down on a proper seat !! No FLOOR FOR YOU !!!

Inside the Narita Express, a bit of an old feeling compared to some of the TGV's I took recently, but very clean and confortable. For some reason it completely stoped for 3-4 minutes ?! ... Maybe the train was early :)

Going up the escalator at Tokyo Station.

Very affordable Bento meals at Tokyo Station, about 6 or 7$US.

I like the very colorful Japanese Taxis, their color scheme always seem a bit weird but I like the friendly look of the Taxis. Our driver was very friendly indeed. I was told finding an address in Tokyo is hell, the driver had to use the GPS to find our 4* hotel which was less than 2Km from the station (total fare 660 Yens), very reasonable !!!

Tokyo Metro Entrance ... Ginza ... All the directions are very simple, detailed and in English !!

Ginza Apple Store ... I've seen Apple Stores on 3 continents now :) I like this one ... No iPhone yet :(

Ginza street corner, another yellow taxi. The streets are so clean here it's insane ... It seems they're scrubbing the pavement with a brush or something.

Genevieve Patiently waiting while I'm taking pictures ... Digesting the +13 hours jetlag :)

Shinjuku district ... Insane amount of people at this street crossing ... I've seen many crossing as busy as this one ... I've yet to see the busiest in the world ... Maybe tomorrow ...

Fruit stand ... Very ... Very ... VERY expensive ... Japanese fruits seem to be more as expensive as the real estate in Tokyo ...

Another colorful taxi cab ... GREEEEN ... Driving on the left of course ... This looks like a Sentra 1977 I'm not sure :)

I've seen this 747 logo everywhere ... What's up with that ?

I think they serve Pork here :)

This group of students ... were doing some kind of weird initiation ritual in uniform at midnight in the middle of a square ... Very dynamic, great dancers also :)

This fellow was dancing with the kids ... He told me later he was a designer for Nissan and he spoke French and English to us ... He kept complementing Paris to me ... I'm CANADIAN I repeated thrice :) ... But thank you anyways :)

He took this picture of me and Genevieve ...

I'm not sure if these guys are bums or they just missed their trains ... If they are, they're the cleanest bums I've ever seen ...

Another busy side street. Alot of the girls are dressed in costumes ... Cosplay I think they call it here ... To each its own I guess :)
The 80's are back in Japan ... Most young fellas have this type of hairdo ... If I understand the sign you chose the type of hairdo, for instance "Kiyoto" ... 30 minuts and you're done ... And I thought the fellows in Time Crisis 4 had weird hair ... I think it's the norm here :)

Local food prepared in front of you ... Smells very good by I wasn't very hungry after Air Canada fed me 4 times in 13 hours :)

More vending machines ... They have cigarette and beer vending machines too ... This is illegal in Canada and the US because anyone under 18 can use them ...

Shinjuku still busy near midnight Saturday night ...

I love the taxis in Japan ... This one is orange ...

Back to my hotel ... First must clear a pathway thru the crowd at Shinjuku station ...
...
Ok more than 36 hours up now ... I apologize for the mistakes in my posting ... I will crash into my bed now :)
